1. A* PUPILS: Christina Sukljevic and Sevilay Ozturk achieve A* Maths GCSE 6 months early! Two Year 11 girls have outshone the boys in Year 11 by getting an A* ahead of their classmates. Both girls took early entry because of their high achievement. Ms Osagie said she was delighted and they showed that girls could be up there with the greatest Mathematicians!
2. Parents get a taste of IAMS: Our Somali parents group came in for lunch last week to meet IAMS chef and discuss Healthy Schools. They were very impressed with school lunches and gave us ideas for our new International Menu
3. Year 7 Cook up a Storm! – Year 7 Cookery Club started last week and 17 students made their own Vegetarian Pizzas. At the end of term they will compete in IAMS Junior Masterchef ! Cookery Club is on a Thursday
4. Chess helps Maths students – The Chess Club has really taken off this term and we now have 15 regular players. Students who play say that it really helps them with their Maths so Mr Hackforth-Jones has opened up his classroom every lunchtime for games and is hopeful that we may with the next Inter borough Competition
